Rachelle came to my life by surprise (and according to her, the same goes to me!). I’ve been waiting for her for a very long time that when I found her I know for certain what I have to do.
We are then celebrating our first month together that I decided to propose and ask her hand for marriage. So, I thought of how to go about it. I remembered that she had this damaged ring that she asked me to give to Mark for repair (Mark works in a jewelry shop). Instead of having the ring repaired, I went to where Mark was working and bought her a new ring.
While we were at the Dhow Cruise I booked for our first monthsary celebration, I thought of the right time when to ask her. After eating our dinner and taking some pictures we finally sat down and just enjoyed the ride and scenery along Dubai Creek. We were then eating our dessert when I decided to pop the “magic question”. I told her that as a gift for out first month together, I had her ring repaired. She was very happy and thanked me for the gesture. So, I took the box of the ring out of my pocket and gave it to her. When she opened the box, a strange look was very evident in her face when she saw the ring, then he looked at me. Seeing me smiling back at her, she told me the ring in the box was not hers. I said, “No, that’s your ring.” I took the ring from the box and took her right hand. I looked affectionately into her eyes and then told her, “Baby, I don’t want to waste anytime. I knew when I met you I already found that person I was waiting for a very long time… The person I want to spend the rest of life with… Baby, will you marry me?” At that moment, my heart was beating so fast. Seconds of waiting for her answer seemed like eternity. Then she finally spoke and said, “Yes Dennis, I will marry you…” Those were the sweetest words I ever heard in my entire life! We hugged and kissed after that and relished the blissful moment…
